a few weeks ago we took down the crib and set up a twin bed for owen. he and henry share a room {which they have really enjoyed}. now they each have their own twin bed and they think they are big time ...
these pics are from owen's first night in the new bed ... which he loves. he has done good so far {knock on wood} and has not looked back. he is a mover when he sleeps {he stays head on the pillow, just moves back and forth a lot} so the bed rails have come in handy! he looks so little in a twin bed - i remember thinking the exact same thing about henry when we moved him. and he looks like a little boy in a real bed. sniff sniff.

and as with any change, it was bittersweet. that crib has been up and used in the vaughan house for over four years. and now it sits in our storage unit {we have not built a garage - probably in next year or two} all disassembled. Lord willing, we hope to use that crib again some day {although we will have to fix the bite marks on the rails from beaver o} - until then, it has certainly been good to us and both boys.
