more hodge podge

 this picture was taken from inside the house - our raised bed garden.  corn, lima beans, purple peas, lots of tomato plants {yum!}, basil, dill, mint, flat leaf parsley, thyme, cantaloupe, baby carrots, green onions and several different types of peppers. {this is our backyard, which would just be a lot of sod and a giant expense.  we had winter rye grass - which has recently been tilled and summer grass has been planted. it is in the process of sprouting/growing}

 we had a crazy rainstorm here last sunday - this picture doesn't do it justice - it was pouring,  pouring!  big old fat rain, as bubba gump would say.

mother's day 2012 - we had a lovely day together.  will spare you the sappiness and end with the thought of how much of a privilege it is to be the mother of these two.  thank you, Lord, for our inspirational grandmothers and our own mothers.  and thank you, Lord, for every bit of these boys.
