first and last days of preschool 2012

what a wonderful year at preschool for both boys.
have i mentioned how much we love grace preschool?
thank you teachers and friends!

every day {no exaggeration} when we picked up the boys and asked henry "who did you play with on the playground today?" the answer was always the same.  owen.  how sweet is that?

henry loved the train room, music class, reading/story time, craft time, puzzle time, but he repeatedly said his favorite was playing on the playground.  henry is geting really good at tracing his letters.  he can write his name - the "r" gives him the most trouble.  he has no trouble recognizing letters and numbers 1-10.  he is eager to learn and when he starts to read, watch out.  he is going to LOVE it.  using stamps and cutting things are definitely enjoyed.  he loves to help cook.  he has grown two inches taller this school year and weighs close to two more pounds {38lbs}.

owen loved school this past year - he talks about his teachers all the time.  he loves to sit in their laps (and anyone's) when reading a book.  his attention span for longer books has certainly grown - he loves books too.  he also loves DIRT.  yes, dirt.  just about every day at school he would play {and eat} dirt.  same thing at home - he loves dirt, what can you say.  he is a boy!  he enjoys crafts - loves stickers and paints - and also loves playing on the playground.  he knows his colors and some of his letters.  he never fails to see an "o" - even a tiny one and say exuberantly, "o for owen!"  he can count - sometimes to three, sometimes higher.   he loves singing and music class, loves it.  he has grown at least two inches this school year and five pounds {35lbs}.

our teachers make the most sentimental picture books at the end of the year - they take pictures of them at school all through the year and put them in an album.  these are so, so neat.  just the other day we were looking at henry's book from the one's class.  these bring tears to your eyes!

both boys will be headed back to grace in the fall - with big smiles and excitement!
